Do you do same sex/gender weddings?

Short answer: OF COURSE!

Dance Floor Heroes celebrates the unions of all loving couples, regardless of sexual orientation or gender identity.

What Else?

What kind of music will you play?

I’m glad you asked. One thing that separates Dance Floor Heroes from your typical mobile DJ business is that we specialize in bringing an energetic dance club like experience to your event.  While we will ultimately work with you to play any special requests for you have, we tailor the music to keep the dance floor moving using a fun and modern mix of music- pop, hip hop, 80’s, indie, and all the songs you’ve loved over the years.  We don’t specialize in country, but, if needed, we can play a pretty solid set or two to keep everyone happy.
We can, of course, offer dinner and cocktail hour music from classical to lounge music.

Consider these interesting statistics of brides polled after their wedding.

72% of all brides say they would have spent more time choosing their reception entertainment.

Almost 100% say they would have spent more of their budget on the entertainment.

Within one week after their reception, 78% of brides say they would have made the entertainment their highest priority!

When asked, 81% of guests say the thing they remember most about a wedding is the entertainment.

Are you insured?

Yes, absolutely.  Liability insurance is required by many venues. DJ liability insurance covers a DJ for any damages a member of the public may be awarded as a consequence of injury or damage to them or their belongings caused by the DJ or his/her equipment. It also covers legal costs & other expenses to do with defending any claim.
Short version, we are insured. One less thing you need to worry about.

Does my wedding or event DJ need a license?

This is a question that gets asked because a small handful of unscrupulous DJs decide to lie to engaged couples, telling them that DJs need to be “licensed” and that somehow they are at risk of a lawsuit if they hire another DJ. This is completely false. The bottom line is, private parties do not require licenses in order to play music.

“ASCAP does not license DJs. It is the venue, establishment, or promoter of an event that is responsible for public performance licensing, not the performer. Private events such as weddings, etc. are exempt from licensing.” – Bryn Caryl, ASCAP
